The Heroes Across America Stationary Camp offers a dynamic summer experience for rising 1st-8th graders, all from a central location in Nashville, TN and Evansville, IN. Each week focuses on the rich history, leadership lessons, and community service values of HBCUs across the country. Through engaging workshops, hands-on projects, and fun activities, campers will develop essential leadership skills and explore the cultural contributions of different states. With meals included and optional before and after care, the camp provides a safe, nurturing environment for growth and connection. Priced at just $70 per week (free for MNPS 5th-8th from 8am-4pm), this affordable program combines education and fun for a memorable summer. Parents can trust that their children are learning, growing, and making an impact in their community.

What:

Outcome Objective: 

To empower students to embrace leadership, develop social skills, and gain a foundational understanding of the cultural and historical impact of HBCUs. Participants will grow in confidence and civic responsibility while engaging in fun and educational activities.

How:

  • Leadership Development: Interactive workshops on teamwork, goal setting, and problem-solving.

  • Historical Exploration: Activities highlighting the unique history of HBCUs and their contributions.

  • Community Service: Local projects that teach responsibility and the value of giving back.

  • Creative Engagement: Recreational and cultural activities to foster creativity and fun.

Tuition:

Evansville

  • 1st-8th Grade: $560 total ($70 per week)

Nashville

  • 1st-8th Grade: $560 total ($70 per week)

  • MNPS 5th-8th Grade: free from 8am-4pm

 

Additional Options

  • Drop-in Rates: $100 per week (not available for MNPS 5th-8th grade)

  • Before and After Care: $10 per week, per care option (available for 1st-8th grade)

 

Sibling Discounts

  • 30% off for the first sibling (excluding MNPS 5th-8th grade)

  • 15% off for each additional sibling (excluding MNPS 5th-8th grade)

Format:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    • Optional before care: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM

    • Optional after care: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

  • Weekly Themes: Focus on a different state’s HBCU culture, history, and values.

  • Pricing: $70 per week, meals included.

Please note that our refund policy was developed because summer camps have significant upfront costs, including facility reservations, staff hiring, program materials, and other logistical expenses. These costs are incurred before the camp starts, and offering refunds becomes challenging due to the financial commitments already made in reliance on your initial participation commitment.

 

Refunds: No refunds will be issued for payments made towards any payment plans. No exceptions. If you wish to withdraw your student, we will suspend all upcoming payment plan arrangements. 

 

If you paid in full and decided to withdraw your student on or before February 20th, a 90% refund will be issued. If you decide to withdraw between February 21st- March 20th, you will receive a 70% refund. If you decide to withdraw between March 21st - April 20th, you will receive a 30% refund. No refunds will be issued after April 20th.

 

All payments for camp must be satisfied by the designated due date located on your invoice. All payments must be satisfied no later than July 4th.  Any payments not received will result in the deferment of your student’s participation in upcoming activities.

 

Default in payment(s): We understand that things happen. It is essential to have a conversation with us as soon as possible. Addressing issues promptly helps prevent them from escalating into larger, more complex problems. Timely communication allows for early intervention and resolution.

 

Scholarships are limited and will be awarded on a first come basis. A scholarship request application must be filled out in its entirety with proper documentation attached in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All applications will be reviewed and verified. Scholarship applications will be notified asap
