B.S. Criminal Justice | Juris Doctor Candidate
Born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Evansville, IN, where she graduated from Central High School, Kaymi has called Tennessee home for the past decade. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science, from Middle Tennessee State University and is a Juris Doctor Candidate.
An esteemed award recipient and lifelong advocate for change, Kaymi is dedicated to transforming challenges into opportunities for minorities and underserved communities.
With a wealth of experience spanning over 8 years working with justice-involved and underserved youth, Kaymi, affectionately known as Ms. Black Lemonade by her students, discovered her passion for youth advocacy during her tenure at the local county's juvenile detention center. Drawing from both her professional expertise and personal journey, Kaymi approaches each conflict as an opportunity for growth and empowerment.
Kaymi's own adolescence, marked by adversity, was transformed by the presence of mentors and positive influences. Now, she is committed to paying it forward by creating pathways to success for youth and community leaders alike. Through initiatives such as leadership programs, family engagement activities, and purposeful education, Kaymi strives to cultivate a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
